Frequently asked questions.
General information about contacting FHLA and discussing a possible engagement.
What types of matters does FHLA handle?
FHLA handles selected business, contract, commercial transaction, pre-suit business, and trusts and estates matters. Availability and fit depend on the facts, conflicts, timing, jurisdiction, and scope requested.
Does contacting FHLA create an attorney-client relationship?
No. Contacting the firm, submitting a form, or participating in an initial discussion does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after the firm confirms acceptance in a signed engagement letter and any other stated conditions are satisfied.
Can I send confidential information through the website?
Please do not send confidential, sensitive, or time-critical information through the website before FHLA confirms an attorney-client relationship and provides an appropriate method for transmitting it.
Does FHLA guarantee an outcome?
No. Legal outcomes depend on the facts, applicable law, decision-makers, counterparties, and other circumstances. FHLA does not promise or guarantee a particular result.
Does FHLA work with other advisers?
When appropriate and authorized, FHLA may coordinate with a client’s accountants, tax professionals, financial advisers, insurance professionals, valuation professionals, or other counsel. Each professional remains responsible for that professional’s own advice.
